Working with Waitrose in-house creative studio and Co-Partnership
The 80s are back! When Waitrose collaborated with Disney+ to create a range of ‘noshtalgic’ products to celebrate the second season of Rivals, I was asked to set the tone of voice direction and write the copy for packaging and online (I know, what a dream!). The answer? Mimic the ‘bonkbuster’ language of Jilly Cooper’s famous books of course! On packaging: a simple ‘critic review’ made up of just two words – a double entendre if you will. A slogan on a tote bag that became the must-have carry of the season. And online – embellished copy with just the right amount of tongue-in-cheek to pass legal.
This was one brief that was without a doubt, most ‘decadently, scandalously delicious’!
